Dec 6: The Noble Eightfold Path: Right Mindfulness - the body is the doorway
Ayya Ahimsa discusses how mindfulness of our bodies gives us so much information that can then be used to develop skillful qualities and abandon the unskillful.
Dec 10/13: The Noble Eightfold Path to the End of Suffering: Right Stillness
Right Stillness is a translation for the Pali word Samadhi which the Buddha describes as the four Jhanas. Sanghamitta discusses the precursors to samadhi and it's characteristics. Both the Tuesday and Friday videos are posted as each talk gives a different emphasis. Hopefully the two talks together will give a fuller picture of samadhi.

Dec 17: Buddhamas
Lyracist Linda Furrow (currently at Sitagu Monastery, Austin, Texas) penned these Buddhist words to the tune of familiar Christmas carols and some other songs while she was a steward at Birken Forest Monastery. It's been our tradition to sing these songs once a year at Christmas time.
(Apologies....the sound quality is poor. We attempted to do better on a second try, but it was worse! We suggest turning off the sound and just singing along to the lyrics, which are screen shared). The lyrics are excellent Dhamma teachings.
