May 7: What is important and what isn't

Sanghamitta discusses two similes of the Buddha: "Being struck by two arrows" and "The Poisoned Arrow". The simile of "A handful of leaves" is also discussed as it gives the same message as the poisoned arrow.

May 14: Do you see what I see?

Ayya Ahimsa discussed the simile of the elephant and the blind men (Ud 6:4) and other practical teachings of the Buddha regarding perception.

May 24: Let the Buddha help you feel better!

Sanghamitta explores sutta SN 22:95 where the Buddha gives similes for the five Khandas - the five ways we experience the world.

May 31: The Guesthouse

Ayya Ahimsa uses the simile of the guesthouse to illustrate the transient nature of all that arises. And the simile also helps us understand how best to be with what arises.
